The first day of the school year is Wednesday, September 9th, 2009.

There has been a slight change in Start and End times for this year:
School will begin at 8:40 AM, and Dismissal will occur at 3:00 PM each day.

The period schedule is as follow:
Period 1: 8:40 AM - 9:30 AM
Period 2: 9:35 AM - 10:25 AM
Period 3: 10:30 AM - 11:20 AM
Period 4: 11:25 AM - 12:15 PM (Lunch for K & 1)
Period 5: 12:20 PM - 1:10 PM (Lunch for 2 & 3)
Period 6: 1:15 PM - 2:05 PM (Lunch for 4 & 5)
Period 7: 2:10 PM - 3:00 PM

Kindergartners will be dismissed at 12:00 PM Noon for the first two days of school: Weds. Sept. 9th and Thurs. Sep. 10th. Friday, Sept. 11th will be the first full day for Kindergarten.

Pre-K schedules for the first 2 weeks of school have been communicated to the Pre-K families through their child's teacher.

PS261 Staff will be on hand in the Main Lobby to direct you as you enter on Wednesday, September 9th.
