The second floor library is now open for business
Hours: Tueday and Wednesday mornings, 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. are open times for parents, children, and teachers.
Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings are open times for teachers to bring their classes.
Afterschool open times are pending but will be at least one day a week from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
For any of these sessions, parents should make sure that they have signed and returned the
permission slip allowing their child to check-out a book and taking responsibility for its return.
Library resources do and/or will include books (children's fiction, easy reader fiction, biography, non-fiction, references, teacher references, audio visual media, small group and class sets of readers, and adult book exchange). To be added in the near future will be access to laptops in the library for internet, educational games, projects, and academic software, as well as black and white laser printer.
Help/supplies needed:
- plants to beautify the room
- child-friendly rubber foam floor tiles from Lowes
- parent monitors to help with shelving, check-in and check-out, and general library management during any of the open times, including the teacher times. Please email technology teacher Chris Peyser at cpeyser@yahoo.com.
